ya, that's it! thanks for the search, and a cd re-issue no less!

been about 30 years since i've seen or heard it...i remember an abundance of open E chord scratchy/funky guitar, eclectic lyrical subject matter throughout, and the name Peter Green (somehow doubt it was the Fleetwood dude)...well performed, but definitely not the regular supergroup fare, more subtle, sort of an underground feel to it...somehow one of my brothers ended up with an already worn out LP in the early 70's, during the years that followed none of us could figure out who those guys were or even where they were from, and the bullshit comic strip album jacket only made everything seem all the more absurd...

thanks again, way cool!

btw, stumbled across this thread a while back...who else cept maybe fireeagle would have seen the end of it?

...man, that's far out...

a recent archive addition worth hearing is the interview with Garcia at 710 Ashbury in 1967:

Topics discussed include The Monkees, Hells Angels, rearranging "Somebody To Love" and playing on Surrealistic Pillow sessions, Quicksilver, cops, funniest moments at the Acid Tests and more.

Listen as Garcia woofs down Oreo cookies (provided by Mountain Girl)...
